Training & Teaching: Entering the job market
The first class of trainees have completed RECAP’s Adkins Life Skills Program.
This course helps students focus on a career path while teaching basics such as how to interview for a job, appropriate dress, resume writing, etc. At the graduation ceremony, George T. Triassi demonstrated the right and wrong way to conduct yourself during a job interview. Other graduates gave short speeches about what the program meant to them. For many it was the first time they had addressed an audience.
As a demonstration of the skills learned, Luz Muniz took the podium as mistress of ceremonies.
The newly established Cafe HRA provided food for the event.
