Housing Program

RESIDENT SERVICES

Head of Household meets with Case Advocate at least once monthly for case review and goal setting.

Housing meetings are held to discuss resident concerns, fund raising and other recommendations, etc.

Avent House residents have formed a neighborhood watch program to assist the Middletown Police Department in keeping the area safe.  As a result, residents are required to participate in an in-house watch to insure security of the building.

Participants of supportive housing may access RECAP's nutrition program which provides food packages and other RECAP services.

 

Additional services may include

Rental assistance

Advocacy in all aspects of human / social services related problems

Continuing Education courses in Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Equivalency Diploma (GED), and English as a Second Language (ESL).

Employment and training opportunities.

Resident meetings.

Recreational activities.

Neighborhood Watch at Avent House.

All housing offer an alcohol and drug free environment.
